Located in the north east quadrant of Australia is the state of Queensland; this stunning region is bordered by New South Wales to the south, the Northern Territory to the west, South Australia to the south-west. There are a number of tourist destinations in Queensland which attracts a wide range of both locals and international visitors to the state over the course of the year. In far north Queensland people may choose to discover Cairns, Port Douglas, Hervey Bay, the Whitsundays, Hamilton Island, the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. To the north of Brisbane people may visit Townsville, Fraser Island, Stradbroke Island, the Sunshine Coast and Rockhampton. To Brisbane’s south is the world renowned Gold Coast that is scattered with sun-kissed sandy beaches and major theme parks including Dream world, Movie world, Sea World, Wet ‘n’ Wild and White water World.

 

The Brisbane Airport is the main international and domestic gateway by which visitors may access the state of Queensland. The Gold Coast Airport and Cairns International Airport are the second most major airports in the state, and there are a variety of regional airports dotted throughout the state. South East Queensland boasts a fantastic integrated public transport system including bus, rail and ferry services, including long-distance rail services operating throughout the state.
